Cardinals SVG File

The inspiration for this card was an embroidery design that I found when looking for cardinal illustrations. This card can be cut using a Sihouette Cameo (or any of the other personal paper cutting machines that will work with SVG files) and Sure Cuts A Lot software. Finished card will be 5-1/2 inches square and will fit nicely into a 6-1/2 inch square envelope.

I was shopping online for envelopes the other day, and was amazed at the enormous selection of sizes, shapes and colors that are available at envelopes.com. I like the square envelopes and decided to order some of the 6-1/2" white squares with black lining. The 6-1/2" square envelopes are available in 70 colors! They're also available in crystal clear, clear translucent, white with gold lining, white with silver lining, metallic copper, metallic silver and metallic gold. The square flaps even have Peel & Press™ for an easy-to-secure seal. They'll require 20¢ extra postage when mailing (66¢ as of January 27, 2013), but a special card deserves a special envelope, right? I have a feeling that I'll be making a lot of 5-1/2" square cards for a while... To make this card, start with an 8-1/2" by 11" sheet of white cardstock that will be used for the base of the card. Cut 3" off of the width of the cardstock so that it is 5-1/2" wide by 11" high. Score the card in the center and fold so that you are left with a 5-1/2" square card. Cut the four SVG files using burgundy, red, black and yellow cardstock. Glue the burgundy cut to the white cardstock first; the four red pieces second, and then the black and yellow. Four SVG files (burgundy, red, black and yellow) provided. Download SVG files below.
